Original Hand Made tiles is a company that is passionate about creating tiles that are functional works of art for kitchens, bathrooms and fireplace surrounds.

All tiles are hand made and designs are hand drawn and painted by Caroline Pearce from her studio in Gartocharn by Loch Lomond.

The inspiration for her designs comes from the forests, fields and hedgerows surrounding Loch Lomond as well as natures larder such as chillies and garlic bulbs ! To compliment her beautiful designs she uses a Raku finish on her tiles that originates from Japan. The Japanese word Raku means enjoyment ,its easy to understand why when you see the unique crackle and crazing of the glaze,that the Raku process creates.

Caroline provides a bespoke service and will work with you to create something unique and original for your kitchen, bathroom or anyplace in your home.

Her products vary from individual tiles with hand drawn graphite designs of insects such as bees, butterflies, moths, ladybirds. Farm animals such as cows sheep and chickens. Other work includes large panels of trees complete with roots, flowers and cockerels
