Raku Cockerel

This 9 tile Cockerel panel is hand made, its design is inspired by Caroline's pet rooster Roger.

The cockerel is hand painted with colour and drawn with liquid latex onto hand made tiles, Raku glaze is applied and latex removed leaving a bare clay cockerel design. The tiles are then fired in a Raku kiln, removed at a high heat and smoked in a sawdust pit leaving a stunning muted coloured bird.

Each tile size is 14cm x14cm,
Whole panel size is 42cm H x 42cm L, pregrouting.
